While you can't join the U.S. Coast Guard or the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary until you turn 17 you can help us save lives by following these simple rules:

• Always wear your life jacket while boating!

• Ask the adults you boat with to wear their life jackets too.

• Always swim with a buddy.

• Ask the Adults you boat with to take a boater education class.

Help Us Protect the Environment

The U.S. Coast Guard is also protects the marine environment.

• Don't litter and never throw trash in the water.
